Education in Jamestown was scarce. In Jamestown religion was not very important even though church attendance was required. Some people came to Jamestown to have religious freedom. There were many types of people in Jamestown. The way of life in Jamestown was that they had to hunt to find meat to eat. There was competition between the Indians and the colonists for food and they learned to trade. The colonists also had to look for gold because that's why they were sent to Jamestown but no gold was found.
